Lorna Marshall of Burlington, CO, was recognized as this year’s Kansas State University (K-State) Department of Animal Sciences and Industry Distinguished Alumnus on Tuesday, Dec. 3, according to the K-State Extension.
Marshall has worked for the American Gelbvieh Association, ABS Global, Cooperative Resources International/Genex, and Select Sires where she currently serves as the vice president of beef programs.
“Lorna is a leader in the artificial insemination industry who has contributed extensively to the beef cattle industry through her work in identifying and providing genetics for modern, efficient, and sustainable beef production,” says Mike Day, head of the Animal Sciences and Industry Department at K-State.
