Don Tozer and Andrea Lindus were honored as the 2022 Stockman and Cowbelle of the Year at the Southwestern Colorado Livestock Association banquet. Tozer served in the U.S. military and after being discharged, returned to Montezuma County and cattle ranching.
He worked as a cattle supervisor for the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe from 2001-2015, gathering wild horses. For 25 years, Tozer has helped organize the Four States Junior Rodeo.
Lindus grew up in Arizona and then bought a farm near Mancos in the ’80s. She practiced real estate for 20 years. Lindus has served as the vice president and secretary of the Southwestern Cowbelles.
