Awards Arena: California Extension gains eight specialists

The University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE) recently announced the addition of eight new advisors, specialists, and a coordinator.

According to the announcement, the newcomers are: Kamyar Aram as UCCE advisor in specialty crops;Marisa Coyne as the academic coordinator of volunteer engagement in the UC Master Gardener Statewide Program; Amer Fayad as the University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources (UC ANR) director of the Western Integrated Pest Management Center; Joy Hollingsworth as the nutrient management and soil quality advisor serving Fresno, Kings, Madera, and Tulare counties; Susan Matias as a UCCE specialist in the Department of Nutritional Sciences and Toxicology at University of California Davis; Joji Muramoto as UC ANR’s first organic production specialist; Mohamed Nouri as UC ANR orchard systems advisor serving San Joaquin County; and Kosana Suvocarev as a UCCE biometeorology specialist.
