AR rolls back child labor laws

Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders (R) recently signed a bill that will reduce the requirements for children to get a job.

The Youth Hiring Act of 2023 does not require children under the age of 16 to obtain permission from the Division of Labor to get a job, and children no longer have to verify their age, describe their work or work schedule, or get permission from a parent or legal guardian.
