The Agricultural Marketing Service is seeking comments from interested stakeholders regarding a proposed rule to amend the National List of Allowed and Prohibited Substances under the organic regulations. The proposed law would add elemental sulfur to the list of allowable substances for use as a parasiticide on organic livestock and their housing/bedding. Specifically targeted are mites, fleas, and ticks in tropical settings. Comments are due June 29.
