$5B in funding announced for USDA programs

$5B in funding announced for USDA programs

More than $5 billion in funding has been allocated for new investments in rural America.

USDA is announcing $1.7 billon to be invested in supporting the adoption of climate-smart ag practices, including $1.1 billion invested across 81 projects through the Regional Conservation Partnership Program, $100 million through the Agricultural Conservation Easement Program, $250 million through the Conservation Stewardship Program and $250 million through the Environmental Quality Incentives Program.

USDA also announced $1.1 billion to be invested in upgrading infrastructure in rural communities, $2 billion in Rural Partners Network projects to help create jobs and build infrastructure, $274 million to expand high-speed internet, and $145 million to expand access to renewable energy and lower energy costs.
