USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced the recall of approximately 28,356 pounds of ground beef products that may be contaminated with E. coli.
The ground beef manufactured by Clackamas, OR, based Interstate Meat Distributors Inc. was produced on Dec. 20 for WinCo Foods, Walmart, Kroger and Albertsons with the establishment number “EST. 965” inside the USDA mark of inspection or printed next to the time stamp and “use or freeze by” date.
USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is recalling approximately 525,717 pounds of canned beef with gravy products that may be contaminated with unsafe levels of lead.
The 1 lb. chubs were shipped to retail locations in Arizona, California, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. FSIS is concerned that some products may be in consumers’ refrigerators or freezers.
The highest quality vaccine that producers purchase may be of little value if not handled and stored properly. Even experienced producers may overlook key principles when preparing and administering vaccines and other animal health products.
Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase. Copies of the labels can be found at www.fsis.usda.gov under the “recalls” tab.
