The North American Meat Institute (NAMI) Scholarship Foundation recently announced it had selected the winners of its 2019-2020 undergraduate scholarships, totaling $55,000 distributed to 11 different students.

Winners are: LeAnna Tanner of University of Tennessee Knoxville (Frank DeBenedetti Scholar); Jacob David Manternach of Iowa State University (John Duyn Scholar); Conrad Schelkopf of Colorado State University (Florence Smith Powers Scholar); Nicole Machuca of University of Wisconsin-Madison (Al Piccetti Scholar); Westesha Neely of Johnson & Wales University (Robert Hatoff “Center of the Plate” Memorial Scholar); Colton Smith of Texas Tech University (Ron Gustafson Scholar); Brittany Shipp of Texas A&M University, (Rosemary Mucklow Scholar); and Hannah Williams of Kansas State University, Connor McKinzie of Texas Tech University, Becca Grimes of West Texas A&M University, and Merrick Irvin of Texas A&M University (NAMI Merit Scholars).

“The North American Meat Institute Scholarship Foundation congratulates the award recipients for their academic excellence and leadership in their field of study,” said NAMI Scholarship Foundation President Mike Gangel of Birko-Chad Co. in the group’s announcement of the awards.
