The Purdue University/CME Group Ag Economy Barometer released Jan. 9 shows agricultural producers have reduced optimism heading into 2018. The barometer fell to 126 in December, a two-point drop from November’s 128 and the second straight month of declines in producers’ sentiment toward the health of the agricultural economy.

The passage of the new tax bill has farmers and ranchers asking a lot of questions about 2018. It will take a while for the dust to clear, but some things are known.
