DAILY FED CATTLE MARKET REPORT

Thus far for Friday, negotiated cash trade was mostly inactive on light demand in the southern and northern Plains as well as the western Corn Belt. Not enough sales in any major feeding region to establish an adequate market test. The latest available market was on Thursday with live sales at 91.00 in the southern Plains. On Wednesday in Nebraska, live sales traded from 91.00 to mostly 92.00 with dressed sales from 145.00 to 147.00 with the bulk of sales at 146.00. In Colorado live sales traded at 92.00. In the western Corn Belt live sales traded at 91.00 with dressed sales at 145.00. Choice boxed beef on Friday at mid-day was 4 cents higher that the previous day at $155.40 while Select was down 35 cents at $146.49.
