New Mexico Senate passes wildlife bill

Legislation aimed at stopping the slaughter of wildlife that are munching on crops has passed the state Senate and now goes to the House. Under the bill, ranchers and farmers could no longer kill wildlife on private land unless the animals were predators threatening people, pets or livestock.

The checkoff-funded Northeast Beef Promotion Initiative (NEBPI) partnered with the Philadelphia Distance Run, the Classic Half Marathon held Sept. 21, 2008, to position lean beef as the protein choice to fuel active bodies and to introduce more than 15,800 elite athletes and their families to beef?s nutrition platform.

Fed cattle trade steady to $1 lower

Fed cattle trade was starting to unfold early last week in Nebraska and Colorado at $80-80.50, or 50 cents to $1 lower than the prior week. In the southern Plains, a few dressed cattle were sold at $130 in Texas, while Kansas dressed cattle sales came in at $127 on Wednesday, lower than the previous week.

It?s the 1970s. An air-dried Polaroid shows your leisure suit and platform shoes, just before you hop into your pickup and check the CB for friends talking skip. At home, you play a new video game called Pong, but don?t know anything about computers. Radio Shack?s ad on the sports page says you need one.
