In Oklahoma City, OK, this week, feeder steers sold $2-3 higher, those in the 800-900 lb. class traded $5-7 higher. Feeder heifers were called $2-5 higher. Steer and heifer calves were $3-7 higher. Demand was reportedly very good for all classes after much of the state received one to two inches of rain over the weekend with some areas measuring up to three inches. Moisture improved morale and has wheat planting on the minds of many farmers. Demand for calves improved over recent weeks but most remain destined to out of state pastures.
